Well if snake wernt there those little things probably would have destroyed otacons robot and then game over we lose. Though you could see them overwhelming snake and ignoring otacon in the video im sure if it was otacon alone it wud be a different story. There for he didnt crawl through a oven for nothing , there was a reason

so Snake crawling through that was just a waste of time and he burned nearly to death; yes, I know he was fighting for a cause and trying to save the world but still…
