The Torque X versions of our engines are built on top of Microsoft’s XNA initiative, which utilizes C# for scriptping. Our Torque 2D and Torque 3D engines use a proprietary C-like language, and also have more drag ‘n’ drop type features for new users. I’d recommend starting with Torque 2D if you’re new to programming. Make sure to visit our website and talk to other users in the Torque 2D forums as you learn to use the engine.

whats the difference with Torque game builder and Torque x 2D?

also whats the difference with Toque 3d engine and Torque x 3D?

Im looking for the more user friendly drag and drop enviroment with little programming

Yes, it will require some scripting knowledge. There are game creation solutions that do not require scripting knowledge, but they are generally not used to make commercial games. We provide a game engine solution that allows you to ease into learning script while also providing you the flexibility to create your own unique commercial game.

I know but does this one require to know a scripting language to make a game?

  5. GarageGamesTorque says:

You can create games in Torque X with C#, a scripting language.

I hate coding well mostly i just think a lot of people don’t know how to do it and most of them don’t want to waste their time figuring it out but still want to make a 3d game you might as well get blender simplest one ive seen and it’s really good and free for example there is an RPG type game being made by Haidme called krum to find the trailer of the game type in Blender krum ( it was made with Blender and the guy did it all by himself )

do you need to know scripting or C++ for this? Im interested in making a game. (I made a couple good ones on RPG maker XP for windows, but I sold it for a mac) And I dont have time to learn C++ or the scripting language. Is this easy to use?

  9. GarageGamesTorque says:

You still need to install XNA and Visual Studio C# in order to run Torque X.

realy what I’ve looked for, it looks realy usefriendly, I might buy this game engine.

Do you need to install XNA and Visual Studio C# to run Torque or has it something to do with changing the source code?
